Udaipur, An unexplored virgin sea beach located in the border of Orissa is three KM from Digha Station. The solitary beach away from crowd and busy city life. Dotted with dense, tall casuarina trees along the shore can make you feel that this is your own beach. This uninhabited beach is around three KM long and lies between New Digha and Talsari.
Chandaneshwar is famous for a Shiva temple in Chandaneswar, Baleswar, Orissa. A huge annual fair in the Solar New Year PanaSankranti, the first day of the Odia calendar, is celebrated on the premises.
Marine Aquarium is also known by Marine Station/Aquarium of Zoological Survey of India, Digha. It has become a major tourist attraction, of late. The aquarium houses 3 types of creatures: species of conservative importance, 'local and curious' species and freshwater species.
Some of these species are sea anemones, rays, butterfly fishes, lobsters, sharks, sea snakes, horse shoe crabs, etc.
It is a beautiful park dotted by a small lake in the middle. If you want, you can avail the boating facility. Also, cable car option is there, from which you get gawk at the panoramic view of the entire New Digha.
Children will no doubt have a wonderful time: swings, sea-saws, manicured tress and benches are peppered here and there throughout the park. It will be a sheer treat to the eyes, as so much lush greenery will be all around you.
Again nature at its best! Wonder Land is another very scenic natural lake, perfect for family and children day-out. Secluded from the cacophony of tourists, this place offers nothing but absolute serenity. Just beside Amarabati Park, this place too houses slips, swings, toy trains and boating options.
Take a toy train ride, which costs just Rs 10. It will give you a tour around the entire place.
Just about 15-20 minutes drive away from Digha, there’s a sprawling fish market that would be a pure treat for all you fishlovers. Fishes come here in boats for auction, and you can buy as many fishes as you like at wholesale prices! Morning would be the best time to visit this place.
In terms of beauty, the view of sunrise from this place is truly exotic. The quaint Champa River meandering from Sankarpur meets here with the fierce Bay of Bengal. A view to marvel at!
